Leyda Rosé 2018 stands out with Bronze Medal in the “Global Rosé Masters 2019”

Leyda Rosé 2018 stands out with Bronze Medal in the “Global Rosé Masters 2019”

The winners were recently revealed for the latest version of the “Global Rosé Masters 2019”, an important tasting competition organized by the prestigious British magazine, The Drinks Business. On this occasion, Leyda Rosé 2018 was awarded Bronze Medal.

The new version of the “Global Rosé Masters” was held in London, UK on April 16th with a panel of experts comprised of the Masters of Wine: Patrick Schmitt, Jonathan Pedley and Patricia Stefanowicz, as well as specialists from the world of wine: Andrea Briccarello and Tobias Gorn. The experts took the opportunity to blind taste and evaluate over two hundred exponents from the finest wineries worldwide.

"On this occasion, Leyda Rosé 2018 – a Pinot Noir-based wine which is expressive, fresh and juicy in character and a true reflection of its origin – was awarded Bronze Medal in the “Still unoaked dry rosé (4 g/l or lower)” category within the £15 to £20 price range."

One should note that in the “Beyond the pale” article written by the Master of Wine, Patrick Schmitt, he makes it clear how this wine category is up-and-coming but also dynamic, emphasizing the interest and intent of wine producers worldwide to craft wines which are fresh and delicate but also mature and smooth.

This is an excellent and important acknowledgment for the most acclaimed coastal winery in Chile, once again demonstrating the winemaking consistency in these wines which reflect minerality, freshness, and vitality. The wine was the only Chilean Rosé to receive an acknowledgment in this important international competition.
