Taking advantage of Leyda Valley’s unique conditions of topography and climate, we have strategically planted different varieties in its specific place in our estate. All the vineyards are planted on slopes in order to elaborate high quality grapes.

Currently, Leyda has 249 hectares of vines planted divided into Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, Riesling, Sauvignon Gris and Gewurztraminer.

Due to the special climatic conditions of the estate, trials with several clones and varieties have taken place, looking for the most suitable ones for the style of wine Leyda is trying to reach.

Low yields, intense canopy management and controlled irrigation are some of the techniques used to help create the best ripening conditions for each variety and to concentrate the flavours and the richness of the terroir, so the wines obtained maintain those characteristics.

The Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenère are brought from selected vineyards located in warmer regions such as the Rapel, Colchagua and Maipo Valleys. The alliance with growers and the supervision of the management of their vineyards allows Leyda to obtain high quality grapes from different valleys, and therefore the complexity and elegance that the wines offer.
