PINOT NOIR, Las Brisas Vineyard

Las Brisas vineyard is planted in a southwest orientated slope in Leyda Estate. Because of this exposure, sunlight is slightly less in this block and the influence of ocean breezes is higher. Then, the ripening process occurs at a slower pace contributing to the development of different and special flavours and aromas. The production in this block is 5 tons per hectare.

The winemaking of this block tries to be very respectful with the freshness of flavours from the grapes. Then, the extraction and maceration of skins is gentle and soft. After fermentation the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 8 months. New oak is not used in this wine in order to keep the fruitiness and brightness of aromas and flavours.

Pinot Noir Las Brisas Vineyard has a clean and direct fruity nose with red cherries, hints of raspberries and a subtle wild herb note. Delicate and refined on the palate. Juicy with ripe flavours of berries combined with mineral notes and a lively acidity.
